  • Inauguration of the Communal Organic Kitchen Garden “Hompot” (September)

… developed the "Brussels and surroundings" area of the Slow Food Planet app (available for download on the App Store and on the Play Store), with over 100 address of places recommended where to eat, buy, enjoy food

… developed this website in 3 languages, regularly updated with news, events and stories from the Brussels and Belgian food scene

… collaborated with:

  • the Slow Food Youth Network Brussels in the Slow Talks 'Food Waste - from Farm to Fork' (October 2015)
  • Slow Food in the organization of 3 tasting sessions of Slow Food Ark of Taste and Presidium products in the European parliament, in an initiative with the canteen of the European parliament, and in the organisation of the workshop "Food dialogues" involving farmers, citizens and advocacy groups
  • Slow Food University of Gastronomic Sciences in the organization of two field trip visits by students of the bachelor and master program, who met local producers and artisans

… participated in the meeting laying the foundations of the Slow Food Chefs Alliance project (September 2015)

went on radio on numerous occasions, including a monthly participation in the program "Bientôt à table" on RTBF, twice on the programme "On est pas des Pigeons" on radio Vivacité Bruxelles, as well as on a TV debate in the programme "Pour ou Contre" of RTL-TVi, on all occasions to defend traditional artisanal products, including the raw Herve milk cheese, a Slow Food Presidium 

… supported the national petition against the closure of the farm of José Munnix, one of the two last producers of raw milk Herve

… launched collaborations with the CERIA (Brussels professional school for future chefs) and with the local asbl Food Bridge, involving the Brussels African community, as well as with other local organizations

Our Working groups (Education, Communication and Events, Chefs and Products, Brussels Babel) met on several occasions

In 2016 we plan to:

  • organise tasting sessions of artisanal products
  • organise gastronomic tours in Brussels for those wishing to know more about where to find good, clean and fair food in town

  • launch collaborations with local schools
  • collaborate with the Slow Food Youth Network in other Slow Talks
  • hold other Slow Sundays and Potluck Dinners
  • participate at Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2016 (22-26 September, in Turin, Italy)
  • contribute to the third edition of Vini Birre Ribelli (26-27 November)
  • update the Brussels addresses for the Slow Food Planet app
  • hold a General Assembly (in the first half of the year)
