România Flavours

Tuesday, 22 March, 2016
But due to the overwhelming interest, we decided to open a waiting list for the event. Fill in the waiting list form available at the link below and we'll contact you as soon as we have a spot for you!

On Tuesday, 22 March at 7:00 p.m., we are organising România Flavours. It’s the first one of series of events that will immerse you in food traditions of minorities living in Brussels.
Our main speaker for the evening will be Adela Trofin - renown food blogger and Slow Food Convivium Leader of Iași (one of the largest cities in Romania). She’s a food activist, culinary experimentalist and enthusiast, interested in wines and the way oenology aligns with gastronomy and food culture. She writes about her food related experiences on http://adelicii.ro/
So join us and listen to Adela talking about Romania’s culinary traditions. After her presentation we’ll taste Romanian traditional food: Cârnaţi (sausages), Brânza de burduf (sheep's-milk cheese), Sarmale (cabbage rolls) and Mămăligă (Romanian polenta) which will be accompanied by a glass of Romanian wine. Products will be carefully selected by Slow Food members from Romania and Belgium.
Address: We’ll be hosted by centrally located, beautifully restored Organic Brussels Café - The Sister - 3, rue Chair et Pain, 1000 Brussels
Fee: The fee is only ( ! ) 10 euros for Slow Food members and 12 euros for non-members. It includes a plate of Romanian traditional food and a glass of wine. Other organic drinks can be purchased directly at the bar of The Sister Café.
